Let me start by saying how much my fiancée and the rest of us love the singularly unique design
of the engagement ring George Evearts created. It brings us joy every day and stands apart from
all other engagement rings I have seen. What sets George Evearts apart from other designers of
jewelry is not his skill and artistry which are exceptional. It is that he listens to you carefully and
creates a one of a kind piece that speaks to who you are, to what you value and hold important.
So let me tell you my story. I had heard about George Evearts from a friend and contacted him in
October in hopes of designing a very special engagement ring, something personal and unique.
We spoke on the phone and George asked me to tell him about the love of my life. And then he
listened. But that was just the first conversation. I can’t remember how long we spoke but
eventually I had another appointment so he asked if I wouldn’t mind calling back in a few days. I
did and the interview continued, this time with some directed questions from George as he
developed an understanding my fiancée. By the end of the conversation he told me he felt he had
a ‘general idea’ of the type of ring I was looking for and would email me some sketches in a few
days. When the sketches arrived, I was stunned. He had not only heard what I said, he heard what
I hadn’t said. The rough beginnings in the design he sent me far surpassed what I imagined
possible. An intricate pattern of engraving covered practically the entire surface. He had set the
stone up high to capture light yet envisioned an ingenious mounting to accommodate my fiancée’s
busy working environment. She’s a pediatrician and uses her hands frequently so the ring needed
to be sturdy. And, of course, it had to be elegant. The instant I saw the design I knew this was the
ring my beloved was always meant to wear. Somehow George Evearts was able to listen to my
subjective descriptions and create a ring that speaks to the heart of a woman he never met. We
had left it that he would sketch a preliminary design and I would say what appealed to me and
what did not. The plan was to have this back and forth until we settled on a look that made me
happy. But how can you improve on perfection? (Right now you’re probably thinking I’m being a
little dramatic. If so put yourself in my shoes for a moment. I was about to ask my best friend and
love of my life the most important question. When I did, I wanted to present her with a symbol of
that love, which conveyed just how much she meant to me. And here I was, looking at a drawing of
a ring like none other, which echoed so many of her wonderful qualities I love so dearly.) So I said,
“Don’t change a thing.” George Evearts first created the wax mold that would create the basic
structure. Of course, when it was finally cast the mold was lost forever, making the ring truly one of
a kind. Now I don’t know what exactly goes into making a ring but I suspect there was quite a bit of
trimming, touches here and there, engraving and polishing. Sensitive to my growing excitement,
George emailed me pictures when the moment he finished and as I waited while they downloaded,
I wondered how the final product would look. Would it really look like those brilliant drawings or
would I be disappointed? Let me tell you I was overwhelmed again. Not only did it faithfully reflect
George’s original design, it was a piece of art more stunning than any sketch could have
captured. This is a ring built by hand, crafted and forged with the jeweler’s personal care and
touch. It is a piece to be cherished for generations to come. If you’re curious what I mean, go to
the website and see for yourself. At the time of this writing, George Evearts has pictures of the
entire process from preliminary design to wax mold to the final stunning piece. I promise you, it’s a
design you’ve never seen. I call it The Meaghan Ring. PTN March 24, 2011

The best of everything in one place. I sold my jewelry, a mantle clock and a couple of
family heirlooms to them. They offered above what I was asking for the clock and they
paid more on my necklace and rings than all the other places I went to. These folks know
a lot about antiques and jewelry, and I left knowing a lot more about older pieces my
grandparents left me. They work well as a family and the father was in in the business of
appraising for over 45 years. I've already referred my two sisters to you, Evearts.
Thank-you so much.

Walking into Evearts Jewelry/Art Boutique, one encounters a very welcoming, honest, and
professional atmosphere. There is a beautiful diversity of jewelry and art . They were very
good about educating me on the method of checking the value of gems/gold/silver (I
recently traded in some of my gold jewelry; as it was my first experience doing so, they
made me feel quite comfortable). They gave a very good exchange rate. Both I and my
husband highly recommend this wonderful family owned business

I went to get estimates on a samuria sword, silver coins and flatware. George, his dad and his
wife are very nice. They were very honest and knowledgeable. Very down to earth people. It
was great doing business with them. I would recommend them to everyone.
